True Success Stories of Charles Tenney & Associates
Charles does exactly what he says he will do. He runs a tight ship. Holds me accountable and gets things done. CTA cut my costs drastically when I knew there was no more to cut. No Sugar Coating, just results".
Todd Rosen, John Peters Professional Vehicles, NJ
To my friends at Charles Tenney and Associates,
I would like to take the time to express my thanks for all the help that Charles Tenney and his staff have provided for me. Six months ago I hired Charles for a site visit to assist my company with financial advice to help guide future decisions I would have to make as owner of Time International Transportation.
With immediate changes to my fleet size, billing and chauffeur payroll my company immediately felt relief. During his consulting sessions I steered him towards the direction of a merger of clientele. Within a three month screening process we found the right company to achieve my goal and the deal was finalized.
I would highly recommend CTA for guiding your company in any direction you desire. They have access to a lot of resources to better a company's operation and future. I look forward to recommending Charles to my affiliate companies to help assist them in their goals.
Best Regards,
Dan Bavaro

Hi Charles,
Thank you for the very nice note. I would love to meet Mike and I believe the best way to get a picture for his wife would be to contact his son and have him email it to me.
That would be a nice gift to thank him for all of his hard work!
Dave and I would like you to know that this experience could have been very traumatic, but Mike has been the backbone and the comfort that we needed along the way. His experience in the field and in life is very intoxicating! He probably could tell you that I kept him on the phone a little to much just to get piece of mind...
Dave and I want to thank you for meeting us that day and we will be your best reference in the future if you need us.
I think we are fine with everything, we will call if anything pops up.
Our closing schedule is for the 10th at 9:00 am. We are actually meeting Keith in the morning at Mimi's cafe in Irvine . We will all go to the escrow company and then over to the office to introduce Keith. I will get in contact with Mike and see if he wants to meet for breakfast and the escrow closing or if he would like to meet the day after for lunch at the Cheese cake factory. (We will eat some for you)
Take care and have a wonderful fourth!
Best regards, Lori

IT'S EASIER TO GROW A TREE THAN A LIMOUSINE COMPANY!
I found the secret to success in building a small company . . . . Work hard, hire good people and get out of the way.
Success is not a destination, it is a journey. How big do you want to get? 5, l0 or 20 vehicles? We started with one and 15 years later, with sales around $1,000,000 plus and 18 vehicles....the wheels started coming off. We got bigger than we were smarter.
We have a family business. We took this business quickly to $500,000/year. The next step took us to a million. That's when we lost the ability to "shoot from the hip". I went out and got me a "hired gun" and his name is CHARLES TENNEY & ASSOCIATES, Dallas , Texas . . . Consultant to the Limousine Industry.
We are well on our way to the next goal. Two million in sales per year, thanks to Mr. Tenney. I used to think gross sales and the number of vehicles was important. It isn't. What's your profit? That's what you have to sleep with and quit this bigger, more, ego stuff.
One of the first things we learned was create the business and then buy the vehicle. Almost everybody does it the other way around.
Rose Limousine, Ltd. Charlotte , North Carolina has a lot to be proud of. We were one of the leading corporate transportation services, but we weren't making enough money and we were working too hard. Drop in a little recession and that compounds the problem.
Charles Tenney asked us what we do and my son Andy and I replied...."We do everything". Tenney started fixing that quickly showing us how to delegate and write job descriptions and hire people.
Do you do a complete financial report monthly or quarterly? Tenney looked at ours before we hired him and said..."You're leaving $50,000 a year on the table in misplaced expenses and you have done it for the past 5 years. In one year he saved us more than $50,000 which more than paid for his fee.
Before I hired Tenney I talked to someone he consulted a few years ago and he said "listen to him". We are.
Tenney said we needed a sales person. We can't afford a sales person, I said. Tenney showed us how. We got lucky and found a man who had contacts with hotels, was willing to take a moderate base salary plus a 10% commission. His commission check the first month was $200. In 6 months his commission check was $2,100. Thank you Mr. T.
Tenney helped us negotiate an agreement, not only to find this successful person, but other employees as well.
How good is your attitude? From day one Tenney always wants to hear some "Good News". Even if things are rough, Tenney helps you see the sunshine.
Some of you think your phone technique is correct. It probably isn't. Tenney 'fine tunes' the phones and gets you more sales.
Is your web site good or do you have one? It's very important. Tenney doesn't do it, but he knows a specialist who does.
Most of you are buying too much Yellow Page advertising and your message needs improving. Are you charging enough? When was the last time you raised your rates? Do you have too many vehicles? Do you know the revenue generated per vehicle to return an adequate profit? What methods determine your decision to purchase another vehicle? What percent of your business is paid out in driver wages and tips? I didn't know the answers to all these questions, but I do now.
Charles Tenney is a future planner. Is business going to get better or worse? Tenney says plan for both and shows you how to do it. If your business drops 25% what plan of action is in place? Get rid of 1 or 2 vehicles? Lay off an office staff person? Tenney makes you think about the "What if" without being negative.
Charles Tenney 's experience first showed us how to grow ourselves first, then our employees and this has to happen before you grow the payoff or the dollars. This business is not about stretches, sedans, vans, and buses. It's about people and if you can't teach or deliver great service, you won't make it. Do you have a passion for the business and serving people or are you just in it for the money? If you don't know, Tenney does.
Do you have a mission? Have you set goals and put time limits to achieve them? We didn't and Tenney is showing us how to do it effectively.
Hiring Charles Tenney and Associates is the best business decision I ever made. Unless you have an MBA or a mind like a CPA, you better have a pro like CTA.

"I recently used the services of Charles Tenney & Associates to represent me in the sale of my half of my limousine company to my partner. Through a difficult negotiation, Charles always had inventive ways to break through stalemates. He has a unique way of simplifying a situation to create the movement necessary to close a deal."
"Charles is a great coach and a tough, but fair negotiator. He has a deep and abiding respect for people and a sense of humor that helps to move things along to a successful conclusion."

Charles is a Christian that practices Christian principals and values throughout the entire relationship. Charles negotiated a final sale price that was almost triple my initial asking price. The CTA team maintained strictest confidentiality, and kept me informed during the entire process. My Delaware limousine service was sold in less than 4 months.
